Swedes (not the vegetable)

What you have just watched is a swede. Sweding in the creation of a shot for shot likeness of a movie trailer or scene. While this is a rather new phenomenon many Youtubing groups have already created a number of sweded videos. Sweding takes the best and worst of Hollywood cinema over the last 30 years and re-creates it with "whatever they can get their hands on". While some companies e.g. the Warner Music Group have removed many sweded videos many companies merely ignore this trend as it actually acts as a form of free advertisement.

Why I am such a large fan of cinefix as a youtube group is while they are some of the most well made swedes online they are not afraid to show the some of the behind the scenes elements. For example the skateboard in the above video.

Here is the same trailer made by a different group. The suits are clearly just boxes and their hands are visible within the shots. I find this funny in it's own right as it shows a complete disregard for the many rules of film making. This disregard of the rules makes the clip alien to the audience and therefore extremely watchable as people sometimes get bored of the "clean" nature of film-making.
